"When I look into his eyes, it seems all the problems in the world go away and I'm floating in mid-air." The only thing that she knew for sure was that she was in love. She had known that she was even before Edward had left her that first time. She never was certain though because he was beautiful and she’s plain. Though if you ask Edward he would tell you that she’s beautiful. Now she was going to get married and experience her first time with a man. She was excited because the least time she had tried that he wouldn’t let her, telling her that she was too delicate to and that he would hurt her. He had said that if he married her then he would then try but if it didn’t work then he would wait until she was more durable. She of course would rather him not be cautious at all because she wanted to have her ‘human’ experience. And he didn’t want to hurt her. The most important thing to Edward though was to get married, she had always been told that getting married at a young age was bad. Her own mother had went thorough a divorce because of it.
Bella had been so lost in thought that she hadn’t been paying much attention to anything around her, and that was not good. She had been sitting up against her ancient truck when someone came next to her and started talking. Now she was pretty used to that because of being the ‘new’ kid last year was a given that she was going to have people come up and talk to her especially at suck a small school. They never had new kids. So for them to get Bella and in the middle of the semester had caused for more hype then she would of liked.
Her head snapped up when she noticed that someone was walking toward her, but from this distance she could not tell who it was. That was not something that she was happy about thought she kept her cool and waited for the person to either come up to her or walk past her, but there was nothing really past her except the road to get out of the school. She was not really a patent person but she could wait for this. The person was not someone she recognized right away and that was weird in a school this small. She sighed and acted like she was busy with her book bag as the person came closer. She didn’t even bother peaking up at them to see who it really was. She would wait till they stopped to talk or to walk by her.

Jane sighed as she looked around at all the teenagers darkly. Some were acting off nearby her, and she was getting coldly irritated. She grimaced when one kid bumped into her, as if in reflex she slapped him. He looked rather disturbed, and Jane couldn't blame him, she had left a clear mark. She caught an odd scent and looked up, her dark eyes tracing it. It had an oddly familiar tinge....Bella. She spotted the girl near her truck and almost found herself laughing. She had no protection now, Jane could vent if she chose.....not that it mattered as much as killing her would have. She began to push through the crowds. At least Bella had one thing working for her, the fact that Jane had already hunted was good.
Jane moved through, noting Bella turned to her book bag. She had to give it to the human.....she sure wasn't anything special. This sparcked some wonder in Jane. How could such a girl be able to attract Aro's attention? Other than the fact that she could numb Jane's gift (it wasn't like she didn't have other ones) she had nothing. She could still be hurt, still feel pain.
Jane stopped beside the truck silently. She looked it over darkly, trying not to laugh. The old truck surely wouldn't last that much longer, at least that's what it looked like. Jane really didn't have a need for cars, she could run. Why bother on a day like this unless she had to? She sighed when Bella didn't notice her. Being short was really a burden. Of course she was centuries old, wich just made things more frusterating to be trapped in this child's body. Jane cleared her throat darkly, she was growing tired of these games.
"Hello Bella. Did you miss me?"
Her sharp tone may have been too much, Jane realized. It wasn't like she cared or anything but, she got a few looks from passersby. She shifted her weight on her feet and jumped onto the front end of Bella's truck. She took a seat near the girl effortlessly, and partly distatastefully. She wasn't thrilled to be stuck here on this car, and seriously hoped her nice clothes wouldn't be ruined by this. She had just bought them yesterday.
Jane scanned the lot for a sign of the Cullen's. She couldn't see them but, she knew they attended school here from the gossip she'd heard. Apparantly they cause quite a bit of a stir. Jane nodded as her mental check ended happily. This wasn't hard or anything. She swung her legs lightly and almost cheerfully for her.Today she was in a semi-decent mood if anyone cared to know. "When I look into his eyes, it seems all the problems in the world go away and I'm floating in mid-air." Bella had been standing alone by her truck when she heard it, Edward would be upset with her right now if he was anywhere near, which of course he was not. She turned calmly to the one of her most horrendous nightmares, the volturi, or at least one of them. “Jane.” she said, not forgetting the vampires name at all. Though she wished she could. This one had tortured her precious Edward and had gotten away with it, she knew why she was scared of her and even why the rest were but she was so small you couldn’t help but think it was kind of funny that a bunch of vampires like, Edward, Emmett and Alice were afraid of her. Though she knew why and chose not to share that particular thought with anyone.
As Jane scanned the parking lot for the Cullen’s or that’s who Bella thought she was looking for, she had an idea. “I’m sure Edward would be ‘happy’ to see you.” she said, as sarcastically as she could. “He’s going to be here soon.” of course he wasn’t but she had to do something to get away form this vampire. And if she was going to do that she needed to have Jane think that Edward was on his way. She looked around for a way to escape, not really seeing any she stood her ground facing Jane. What could she possibly do here when Bella was surrounded by humans.
The Volturi was there to protect the vampire world of exposure where they? She didn’t know what was going on. Why was Jane even here in forks and not in Italy? She didn’t know and she hoped that Edward did show up soon. And if he does not then she would have to take care of herself wont she, she could do that. She sighed and continued to stare at Jane. She wasn’t able to use her gift on her and she was crowed by her fellow humans so Jane really couldn’t do anything to her. “So,” she said, casually, “What are you doing her in Forks? Any vampires go out of hand?” she whispered aware of everyone around them. Probably trying to listen in. it’s not everyday you see someone who looks like a child sitting on a truck talking.
Bella tuned scanning the crowd again hoping against all hope that one of the Cullen’s would show up.. Even if it was Rosalie. She would take what she could get. Because Bella was a bit nervous to be having this conversation with a non-veggie vampire. TAG;;; anyone? CREDIT::: Myself WORD COUNT;;; 435 NOTES;;; Nope

Jane smiled at the alarmed expression on the girl's face. She was a foolish human. Gift or no gift, she was still breakable. And Edward.....well, she couldn't protect him. She looked around lightly, almost with boredom. Bella was rather quite amusing. She assumed Jane needed a reason to come down here. It wasn't like she needed an invite. And the silly humans didn't matte to her anyway. She could care less what they thought of her, if they got in her way, or saw what they shouldn't she could kill them and be done. She was getting real good at cleaning up the evidence.
"Now, my dear Bella, what gave you the idea that there were others down here....hmmm? Do I really need an invite to show up?"
Jane was more bored than anything. This was most of the reason why she hadn't attempted to attack the girl. And with Aro being so attracted to her Jane couldn't help but wonder why. She sighed darkly. The girl wasn't quite as bright as she thought. Surely, she would recall Aro. She smiled brightly at her. Of course the Volturi had sent her, more as a live in spy than anything else. This was of course mostly due to her wanting to run away. Of course they couldn't have that, could they So, they tried to give her a break, get her mind off things. Jane was seriously doubting it would work. She was getting a little sick of the same routine over and over again. Why couldn't she have been turned later? Why did she have to be trapped like this? In a form no male could truely love. She hated it, and hated what he had done to her and how she felt. She looked distant for a few minutes and then asked a question he regretted.
"Why is Aro so attracted to you? You're just a human."
She wished she could take that one back. It was stupid of her to lose her control of her thoughts so. She shifted uncomfortably around and looked back at Bella. She could guess she wanted the Cullen's to save her. At some point the human would have to get used to this, even Jane knew that. This would be a customary part of life, if she was staying with Edward Cullen that is. Jane partly wished she had been turned later in her life. Then this mess wouldn't have happened. Then, she might have had what she truely desired. She wanted to cry, to relieve the pain, and yet she couldn't. She never would. She was trapped in her own worst nightmare, without an escape route availaible to her. The thought alone disettled her.

"When I look into his eyes, it seems all the problems in the world go away and I'm floating in mid-air." Bella had no idea what to think of this vampire, one second she could be hostile and the next perfectly content with sitting and talking. It confused her to no end. Though she had to get out of her soon because if she didn’t then something bad was going to happen and she could feel it. Bella had a feeling that the only reason Jane was here in forks was because she was watching over the Cullens and herself. Why else would she be here? No one else in forks needed the them here. She sighed as she prepared herself to answer her question. “I don’t know you tell me if you need a reason to be here.” she said, she was going to start to hyperventilate if she didn’t do something soon. She couldn’t just stand here and talk to this vampire, who the last time she seen was sucking the blood of all those humans. As if there was nothing wrong with that.
As Bella was searching for a way out she heard Jane mutter something to herself that she thought she hadn’t heard but after a while she knew she heard it correct. "Why is Aro so attracted to you? You're just a human." She had said. Now Bella had no idea what she was talking about. Aro didn’t think she was attractive did he? She sighed. “I don’t know how to answer that. I dint know he thought me to be attractive.” she said, she wasn’t trying to be smart only trying to tell the truth. She didn’t think anyone thought her to be attractive. She knew what she smelled really good because of Edward always telling her that but other then that she had no idea what Jane was talking about.
She sighed again, giving up on ever getting to escape. It was her fault really for coming her without telling Edward, though if she was lucky Edward would find her. Or Alice would see something and tell Edward to come her and get her. Save her again, like he had always been doing. She seemed like she needed saving more then anyone else that she knew. She had this thing about trouble always finding her and Edward always being there to save her. He was her prince in shining armor. Or rather prince in shinning skin. She smiled at her own thoughts almost forgetting that Jane was even here. Something that she probably shouldn’t do. She really needed Alice to see something and come get her or anyone really. She looked around again for a way out. Hoping that Jane does not notice what she was doing. TAG;;; Anyone? CREDIT::: ME.. and whom ever wrote the quote. WORD WOUNT;;; 470 NOTES;;; Nope

It was unlike the Edward to be late, I hope Bella won't be mad, he thought. Waiting at her truck for me. Well today was a little different, Edward drove to school in his Volvo alone today. The others seemed to like giving him his space. He was late this morning as he was thinking, even though he'd had all day, all night, over and over again- he couldn’t grasp the fact that Bella was his. They were soon to marry. Though what he'd bargain in return, he wasn't to happy about. He was a man, of course he wanted to sleep with Bella, it was just human nature, he wasn't a total freak. But the idea of him hurting her, which he so easily could... frightened him. It took a lot to frighten a vampire, with superhuman strength and with his gift of being able to read minds. Though maybe it is a good job that he can't read Bella's at the minute, she might not be pleased that he was running late.
He was a little less than three minutes away from school, driving sensibly… well sensibly for Edward that is when his mobile rang. “Alice” the screen flashed, a little picture of his Sister flashing up on the screen. “I wonder what she wants” Edward thought out loud, the rest of the guys didn’t want a lift, they don’t usually with me anymore. Its easier to keep Bella away from Rosalie if we go in different cars. Before Edward had even put the phone up to his ear, he heard what she needed to tell him. "Jane!" Edward growled in utter fury. His foot slammed on the accelerator, hurtling the car forwards, it’s a good job Charlie wasn’t around, he would greatly arrest Edward at the first chance he got. Yet that would not be good. His eyes flashed, if she lay on of his sinister fingers on Bella, she would pay.
Edward skid into the car park, drawing unwanted attention to himself. Almost running over Mike Newton in the process, “Damn” Edward thought, yet again outloud but he had bigger worries on his plate. He screeched the car to a holt, little that thirty centimeters in front of Bella and Jane. He hissed, the furious sound echoing around the car. Jane was sure to have heard it. Neither of them flinched, nor at the car almost squishing them or the fury in Edwards’s response. His eyes zeroed in on Jane. He had to remember where he was, it would be so easy at this point to expose himself and his family. If it meant protecting Bella, it didn’t matter. He jumped out the car, only slightly aware of the throng of people that had circled around them, confused yet excited. He could distinctly hear Mike Newton’s moans at almost being squished. What a cry baby! Situating himself in-between Jane and Bella. “Jane!” He growled.

Jane smircked when she saw Edward. She had been dying for something to kill her time with. She was getting bored, a little hungry besides. She looked around, bored with the humans. She had her own plans in mind. She could always call the clean-up crew later. She looked at Edward and shook her head in mock dismay.
"Hello Edward. Good to see you too. Now, if you'll escuse me I believe I wasn't talking to you."
She noticed his stance. There was no possible way he would move. Not with her there anyway. She sighed, her legs swung on the truck. He really shouldn't have shown up, he just wetted her appetite for the girl's blood. She would have let her go easy before, not something she was known for. For once Jane was too mad to care. Aro didn't like Jane, he liked Bella. That was what mattered, and if Bella could be hurt in some way, enough to scar her......maybe......
Jane sighed. She looked at Edward and laughed. Her cold voice sinister. She really was having too much fun. He made her practice much more entertaining. She hopped off the truck and smoothed her dress, her eyes shifting to stare dircectly at him. She began to use her power on him....if it's a fight he wanted....he already knew the outcome.
Her eyes shifted to Bella. She was a good at focusing, this power allowed her some freedon of thought. Besides, it wasn't like he was that strong. Once he was down all it would take is time. Se debated where to get the girl at. Really it didn't matter where, it just mattered that she did. She wanted the girl to suffer more than she had, if that meant she died.....well, it's not like her pathetic life counted, right? Maybe Aro would see just how valuable his "pet" could be. She smiled at Bella, the look of a killer. Before, she didn't care....now, she had every reason too. She shifted her weight onto the heels of her feet, an attempt to get a better angle. Her eyes lighted back on Edward, he should be feeling the effects....

"Hello Edward. Good to see you too. Now, if you'll excuse me I believe I wasn't talking to you."
Edward growled again under his breath, loud enough for Jane to hear it, yet quiet enough for the circle of spectators that had formed around not to hear it. He glared at the crowd of people, yet never relaxed his position of standing protectively in between Bella and Jane. Jane was not one of his favourite people, infact she was one of his least favourite. With his glare the crowd of bystanders looked sheepish and became suddenly interested in meaningless human stuff, while of course trying to eavesdrop. “You seem to forget Jane, that anything to do with Bella, involves me!”. He was cool and composed once more, yet his voice was lethal. He felt Bella’s hand squeeze his arm. He glanced around the school parking lot. She appeared to be alone… yet why would Jane be here alone. He quickly assessed the situation and realized she was infact alone. Oh and managed to still overhear Mike Newton fuming about almost being ran over. Edward eyes turned jet black after hearing Jane’s thoughts [He really shouldn't have shown up, he just wetted her appetite for the girl's blood]. “Jane, I think its time you left!” he spat. To on lookers it must have been a peculiar sight. Mysterious and attractive Edward Cullen being so… defensive over a small girl talking to Bella. Oh how wrong they were. Jane with her power was unbeatable. The only pleasure Edward took about the whole encounter is that he would be the only one susceptible to her torturous power. Jane certainly wouldn’t find this amusing he imagined. Some-one immune to her powers, unless something had changed since he last saw Jane when she had tried her powers out on Bella and just like Edward and Aro alike… their powers didn’t work on her. He very much doubted anything had changed as infact he still could not hear Bella’s thoughts at this point, must to his disgust. It could be useful in a time like this. Edwards eyes followed Jane as her vision focused on Bella. Then it hit him. He body had the urge to writhe on the floor in agony, anything to escape this. Jane’s eyes zeroed in on him. A huge grin fixing across her face. He felt Bella stiffen behind him. He had to stay strong for her, without him there to protect her, Jane would have her wicked way with Bella. He rested nimbly against the truck, still position in between an enemy and the girl he loved. The pain was becoming more and more intense by the second, it was becoming unbearable. He had to think. He couldn’t, COULDN’T! let anything happen to Bella. He began to remember the last time he believed she was dead. Which infact lead him to the Voltera and the Volturi. Life seemed to freeze, the pain he had experienced when he had received the phone call was nothing he had every felt before. His life shattered, his meaning of being here shattered, the essence crushed into thousands of little pieces. This pain was nothing compared to that. He wouldn’t let that happen again. She meant too much to him. She was his whole world. ”Jane! He growled audible to the crowd this time, who looked bemused to see Edward Cullen to raise his voice with such a tone of hatred to a childlike girl, while leaning against Bella’s ancient truck with a look of utter pain displayed across his features. “I think its time for you to leave!!”.

"When I look into his eyes, it seems all the problems in the world go away and I'm floating in mid-air." Bella was so relieved that Edward was here that she almost jumped up and hugged him, but she knew better. When Edward was in a stance like that there was no pulling him out until the danger was over. And that wouldn’t be done until Jane left. All she could do now was make herself as small as possible and hope that Edward and Jane does not give themselves away. That would be horrible. Because then they would have to move away sooner then necessary . Bella watched the standoff between them with fearful eyes. This couldn’t be good not out in front of the school. The only thing to do now would be to get them away and into the forest. She looked around at everyone gathering around nervously.
When Jane started with her power it was all Bella could do not to throw herself at Jane. “No.” she said, loudly enough for the vampires to hear. She screwed up her courage and stepped in front of Edward, it would give him some time to throw off the pain. “It’s me you want. Not him.” she said, bravely. looking around to make sure no one heard. She only had to talk just above a whisper anyway. “We need to take this some place more private.” she said, “That way you can have all the fun you want.” she said, looking at Jane. She knew if she appealed to her evil side then she would bite and that would leave the Cullens out of it and able to stay in forks.
She glanced behind her to see how Edward was fairing, seeming to do ok, she looked back at Jane. “we need to leave now, before he gets up.” she said, knowing that he would follow that was the only reason why she did it in the first place. But to her protecting the Cullen’s was more important then herself. She started to walk away, hoping that Jane was following. She headed straight for the forest and she knew that none of the bystanders would follow. It would make it that much easier on her. With one last glance at Edward she took off running hoping that she wouldn’t trip on something. She knew he would be mad at her there was not doubting that but she had to get this confrontation to someplace where it wouldn’t hurt the cullens.

Forgetting herself she noted the target moving to a run. She was headed for the nearby forest. Jane turned to Edward, no longer caring what happened next. If she acted the part of a fool.....then maybe someone would notice her. She wanted to scream, and for once she let her emotions rule. Her dark red eyes flashed with hunger, her lips curled for the hunt. She crouched low to the ground and took off after her.
The hunt was almost a game. An odd thing for Jane. She hurridly kept on the girls heels. And yet, she never aimed to overtake her. Jane wasn't completely stupid, not even in this state. She had to get her prey far away enough from that vampire and the insipid humans in order for this to work. So, Jane did the only thing possible, she kept the reins, letting the girl think she controlled.
The old trick was sure to work. Jane would simply make a few false charges here and there to keep the girls speed and direction up. If they were lucky they would arrive in only a matter of an hour or two into the heart of the forest. A place Jane knew so well. The shock caught her for a second as she realized she had let Edward slip by. The results would not be pleasant. She turned her head to keep a lookout for the vampire, who must surely hate her.
After she felt bored with her query Jane simply stopped running. What she had come here for was above such pettiness. Whether or not Bella lived, was not a care for her. She simple hopped up onto a branch in the tree, relativly sheltered from sight by the foilage. It would serve for now, if she chose to take the run up again, or simply fight, she still could. The small clearing was ideal.

"To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven."
A growl escaped Edwards throat. How could Bella be so stupid to run! He cast his acute senses out, his eyes never once leaving Bella's back heading into the distance with Jane in pursuit. If it was purely up to Edward he would have blown his cover then and there by ripping Janes throat out, yet he had his family to think about. He could easily overtake Jane once he cleared the carpark and into the forest. The dozen or so quick steps across the car park seemed to drag, he picked up a human jog, not wanting to draw attention to the situation. The last thing he needed was a herd of human students to follow, he could see the headlines already: "Twenty students vanish into thin air!. His eyes full of fury, he darted around the tree and moved forward like a bullet. Defy all laws of physics, the tree's seemed to move away from him. His nostrils flaring at the scent of Bella, yet his teeth pulled back and a fierce growled escaped his lips at the scent of vampire Jane. He simply had to catch up with her, it shouldn't be to hard, yet this didn't stop him worrying. " All it takes is a tree root and Bella is over," . Somehow his legs managed to speed up, covering the ground at an astronomical speed, infact they were barely touching the ground it was as if he was moving to fast for the ground. He gained, the scent becoming clearer, he was so focused that the next fact statled him. Jane.Had.Stopped. She was perched in a tree he'd just passed, He slammed to a stop, his expression furious, teeth bared and a fierce growl errupting from deap inside his chest. His man was working overboard, did he continue to Bella- yet the chances were if he attempted to do this Jane would simply zap him, imoblilising him then moving on to Bella. The only logical answer was to stand with Jane. "What the hell do you think you're playing at! He hissed at the pint sized vampire. He made a metal note that he would certainly be asking Bella the same question later! notes: Omg im so sorry guys, i have a memory like a goldfish. i cant believe i forgot to reply!! wordcount: 420 [/blockquote][/blockquote]
