Four years have passed since the Volturi Coven had arrived in Forks in hopes of finding an Immortal Child. However, what the Volturi Coven had found instead was the Cullens fully backed with several other Covens and the Quileute Wolves. Each person willing to give his or her life in the process of stopping the Volturi from taking Renesmee away from Edward and Bella. As fate would have it, little Renesmee remains in the the safety of her mother's arms after the Volturi Coven decides that a War would be costly upon their part. But that does not mean that battles will not be fought between the groups.
Shortly after returning home back to Volterra, Italy, the Volturi comes across to unique humans. Taking these humans under the dark wings of vampirism, the Volturi has every intent of making the Cullens and the Quileute Wolves suffer for their ignorance. The Volturi's main targets include; Alice Cullen, Renesmee Cullen, and Leah Clearwater.
Each is desired by Aro; the Volturi Coven's main leader. He has specific plans to gain each girl into his guard. Even though Caius is not in the favor of having a Wolf among them. Each girl will be ambushed and taken to Volturi, Italy where their loyalties to their family and their way of life will be tested. More so for Alice than Renesmee and Leah since Alice is in constant need of blood since she is a full fledge vampire.
Both the Pack and the Cullens soon discover the disappearance of each girl. Each groups immediate thoughts are to go against each other for the disappearances. But they will soon learn that the enemy is not each other, but the Volturi. Working together, the two groups are in a race against time to save their beloved family members before they become nothing but a distant memory.
