The white wall in Aries's room was cold against her back. Soft music was pouring threw the speakers. Her new mom and dad were both gone again, when she first got adopted by them she was happy because they were an amazing family to have but once they got back into their jobs she found her self being home a lone a lot more. They left behind plenty of money but she was only 16, she didn't really like being by her self all the time. Not to mention the fact she often had to travel down to a different city for Chemo every few times. She didn't think that it was fair that after everything she had gone threw she had to go threw Cancer to. She didn't even have the will to beat it this time. She just didn't really care, she didn't have much to stick around for any ways. She wasn't a big fan of Forks, she didn't have any friends, mostly because she didn't trust any one. She never really opened her self up enough to have fun.
She closed her caramel brown eyes and felt the cold blade press against a previously stitched cut. She winced a little as the blade cut threw the stitches and the skin and blood started to surface. She pressed harder, making sure it was deep and she did it 1 other time underneath that. She tugged the sleeves of her black hoodie down and felt her hands shake a little. She now had 2 fresh deep cuts on both wrists over where other ones used to be. It wasn't the smartest thing to do, especially when she was out of band aids. She had been doing this ever since her parents died, it wasn't an every day thing it was mostly just something she did when she was feeling depressed, she was feeling really depressed today. Hence the deep cuts on her wrists. She was good at covering them, no one really ever knew but she had a feeling she might have gone to deep today. Her hands started feeling tingly and she started feeling light headed. Her first instinct was to walk down to the hospital but it was raining out side and she didn't exactly live that close to it.
So she called a taxi. Not the best thing to do but she wasn't exactly full of excellent answers today. So she grabbed some napkins and pressed them to her wrists. It was hard to do it for both so she just focused on the one that was bleeding more. She slipped on some converse and was glad she had black skinny jeans on so she didn't bleed on them. The car ride seemed to take forever, the pain didn't really bother her she was sort of used to it. The cab arrived and she paid the guy and got out and instead of walking into the Emergency Room like she probably should have she walked into the waiting room and managed to sign in. She was very quiet, made no noise or sign that she was hurt, except keeping her wrists close to her chest. She sat down in the corner and hugged her knees to her chest.
Resting her head against the wall she closed her eyes and didn't notice the blood dripping from her fingers onto the floor leaving little red droplets. The blood was finally starting to clot a little so it wasn't bleeding at much but she knew she was still going to need stitches. She sighed a little and felt tears slide down her delicate pale cheeks but ignored them. Shivering she attempted to relax as she waited to be called so she could get this over with and go back home. She didn't want to do this any more, she had a feeling after today she would be attempting to stop, trying more like it. In all reality she was just a scared little 16 year old that didn't really know what to do any more. She just did what felt right, and what felt right to her didn't really feel right to other people. She sniffled and pushed the thoughts out of her head and looked down at the droplets of blood on the floor and attempted to smudge it up with her converse so no one would see it. She groaned a little and just ignored it. People bleed in hospitals don't they? Aries closed her eyes and hoped to go unnoticed in the corner as she waited for her name to get called. There was a lot of people above her so maybe if they stopped bleeding before then she would just go home. She bit her lip and curled up into a tighter ball on the chair.

its kinda like an upscale bed & breakfast
Esme was stood in the master bedroom surrounded by items of clothing, she wished now she hadn’t turned down Alice’s offer to help her choose an outfit. Esme used to be good at this but right now she just couldn’t decided on something suitable to wear. The hospital was having a barbeque lunch where all the important investors of the hospital would be attending and of course Carlisle and Esme had to make an appearance. Esme glanced out of the window and smiled, the organisers of the event had been wishing for a miracle when they decided on a barbeque for the event. She expected the whole event would be moved inside the venue, due to the rain. Esme and Carlisle often found the events amusing, of course being vampires neither of them found the food very appealing and had to be extremely crafty when it came to eating it. Of course if it came to it they could eat the food but it wasn’t really very temping.
Esme turned back to the pile of clothes that she’d thrown over the sofa and chairs and picked up a dark blue dress, she held it against her self and studied it in the mirror. It wasn’t to lavish but it suited the event and Esme rather liked how it looked against her hourglass figure. She changed quickly putting on a pair of black heels and picking up her black coat. Being a vampire temperatures didn’t affect her but it added to the charade if they dressed appropriately for the weather.
Esme had called a taxi to take her to the hospital where she would be meeting Carlisle and the two would continue to the hotel the event was happening in. She heard the taxi pull up outside and honk, she quickly ran a brush through her long brown locks, and exited her room at top speed sweeping past Emmett who was looking shifty. “Clean it up” she shouted over her shoulder as she reached the front door.
She ran human speed to the taxi attempting to dodge the raindrops, shutting the door she smiled at the driver as he moved off from the house. The journey seemed to take forever as Esme gazed out of the window; it was times like these when she forgot she wasn’t human. Doing normal human things made her feel like she belonged in this world and made the moments even more special. The taxi pulled up outside the hospital and Esme paid the driver giving him a generous tip.
Nurses were running in and out of the hospital helping those with severe injuries into the hospital. Esme although able to control herself fully around humans, didn’t take the risk of breathing through her nose, just encase she became tempted by the smell of fresh blood. Esme found it easier to control herself when she thought about each human as a mother, daughter, sister, brother, father, if she fully humanised each person it made the thought of killing them disgust her. She entered the waiting room, intending on waiting in Carlisle’s office until he was ready to leave. But as she made her way through the busy waiting room someone caught her eye.
The young girl must have been only sixteen, but Esme immediately felt as if the girl had lived a difficult life. She was the only person in the waiting room not looking agitated by the long queues; she was quite calmly leaning against the wall with her eyes closed. Esmes sharp eyes caught the small drops of blood that fell slowly like red diamonds from the girl. Now any normal person would have walked straight past and left the girl to her own devices, but Esme couldn’t bare to see such a young girl who was obviously hurt alone like that.
As Esme approached her through the crowds of people, she was angled better to see the girls face. Tears flowed freely down the girl’s cheeks, and Esme’s heart dissolved at the thought of the girl being in pain. She wondered where the girl’s parents were, and if they knew she was here alone.
Esme reached the girl and gently placed her hand on the girls shoulder, “Are you alright darling?” she asked smiley gently at the girl, “have you hurt yourself badly?” she questioned indicating to the blood that was falling slowly from the girl. The scent of the blood was sweet and alluring, but the thought of hurting someone who was so obviously vulnerable made Esme feel badly. She had made a vow along time ago that she would not be a killer, and although she had slipped up in her early vampire years she was not going to make a mistake and have to uproot the whole family. It would not only be embarrassing, but the face of this young girl would never leave her memory.
Word Count. 816 Status. Finnished. Extra Notes. Hope this is ok!
