End Of The Line

Now, I want you to think back… all the way back to the beginning of Twilight. Here’s a summary of what’s happened so far;

Isabella Swan has moved from Pheonix to live with her father in Forks. Upon arriving, her father buys her a red truck from Billy Black. After the weekend, Bella attends Forks High School. Everything seems like a pretty normal school, apart from a strange group of adoptive siblings, the Cullens. Bella is very interested in one of the boys, Edward. He seems to ignore her and carry on his day.

Then, in Biology, Bella is placed next to Edward. He acts very strange; pinching his nose as if there is an absolutely disgusting smell coming off of the girl sitting to his right. As soon as the bell went, he left at a high speed. Bella walks into the office and sees the young man talking to the receptionist, asking to change classes. When that is denied, he storms away.

The next day, Edward isn’t there. Or the next, or the next.

You all know what happens next, right? Edward comes back, they fall in love, kill James, Laurent and Victoria, have a kid, Bella turns into a vampire, and all the rest.

No. That hasn’t happened. Edward never came back.

For weeks, Bella waited, wondering what had happened to the Cullens. They seemed to have simply disappeared. Vanished, off the face of the Earth. Eventually, Bella gets over it and decides to get on with her life. She does well at school and makes a lot of great friends.

One of those friends is Jacob Black, one of the friends she had made as a child when she visited Forks as a kid. The two had done what two kids do, you know, play in the sandpit, ride bikes. All that. But now they’re teenagers, they do other stuff now. They go to the cinema, eat McDonalds together, hang out. It’s what they do.

On Bella’s eighteenth birthday, Jacob asks her out. Feeling exactly the same about her best friend, Bella agrees to start dating. The two became more or less inseparable. Jacob drove her to school on his motorbike, they went to posh restaurants on dates. Of course, Bella still spent time with her human friends too.

But there’s obviously some trouble in paradise. The Cullens have come back, and their family have grown. They now have twelve members of the family. All of them are vampires.

This has caused a lot of tension around La Push. Sam Uley and some other boys, Jared, Paul and Embry Call, are acting very strange and are isolating themselves from the rest. He keeps trying to warn people about the Cullens and telling them to believe myths. Jacob, once, found this ridiculous.

But when Jacob starts acting the same as Sam, Paul, Jared and Embry, Bella starts to get suspicious and confronts her boyfriend about it. Not being able to lie to his girlfriend, Jacob confesses. He tells her that he is a werewolf and that the Cullens are vampires. Bella, after a few days of thinking it over and researching Quilete legends, believes her boyfriend.

More and more boys are turning into werewolves and joining the Pack of La Push wolves. Jacob decides that they need to somehow get the Cullens out, but without breaking the treaty made so many years ago – which Jacob also told Bella about.

Jacob proposes to Bella and she accepts. But why Jacob chose that time to propose was beyond Bella, but she was happy that they would marry. But when would they, with all that was happening happening.

But the Cullens have problems of their own. The Volturi are very intimidated by them as their coven has grown and if it grows any more, the Cullens could easily oppose the Volturi. Carlisle is very aware that the Volturi and the La Push Pack are growing wearier of the Olympic Coven by the second. He has tried asking his coven to move away, but none of the Cullens want to.

Now what will happen? Will the Cullens leave? Will the Volturi act? What will the Cullens do? And what of Bella Swan? Will she ever marry Jacob?
