GENERAL APPEARANCE:
Jacob has russet skin, black hair and dark eyes. Jacob stands at 6'7" and has a toned and muscular build. He had cut off his long hair but then grew it back out in because he thinks Bella prefers it long. This makes his fur as a wolf shaggier and longer than that of his brothers. He is said to be quite handsome, once being described by Bella as beautiful. He tends to wear only cut-off style jeans or shorts, since clothes are often ruined during his transformations into a wolf. As a wolf, Jacob's fur is a russet color, like his skin. Being he is Native American of the Quileute tribe in Washington, his dark skin is not unique at all.

Jacob is also able to phase at will into a giant wolf. His body temperature is warmer than a human's, reaching about 108.9 °F (42.7 °C), which allows him to withstand very cold weather. His body also heals quickly, he can communicate with his werewolf pack telepathically when in wolf form, and he is physically stronger and faster. Werewolves do not age if they regularly turn into their wolf form, with Jacob's body physically grown to the equivalent of a 25-year-old.

He mostly likes his legs. They are suitable for running and he keeps them in good shape.

He mostly hates his hair. He cut it because it was in the way, but then grew it out again because he thought Bella liked that better, but now he's not sure. He's debating whether to cut it again or not.

GENERAL PERSONALITY:
Jacob is a genuinely happy person. He tends to make others laugh around him and he can't stand for his friends to be upset. Which was why he first started to be friend Bella, Edward was gone and she was sad. He is known to be cheery, passionate, adventurous, but quick in temper. Be careful to piss him off, because hill kick rear end and take names later. He means business and once you are on his bad side, it's hard to get back to his good side. Once they begin phasing, a werewolf may "imprint"—a method of finding one's soul-mate—on someone, and will act as a close family member if the imprintee is not yet old enough to be their lover.

GENERAL HISTORY:
Jacob is the only son of Charlie Swan's best friend, Billy Black. They are Native American of the Quileute tribe in La Push, near Forks, Washington. He and Bella used to be friends years ago when they were little, but Bella pushes Jacob for information about the Cullen family one night at the beach. Jacob tells her Quileute legends and introduces her to the idea that Edward is a vampire. Thus begins a very odd relationship between herself and Edward, while Jacob is on the sidelines of her life.

After months of depression over Edward's leaving, Bella finds friendship with Jacob and slowly begins to come out of her depression. Their friendship becomes very strong, and Jacob also develops romantic feelings for Bella that she does not share. Jacob is also one of an ancient line of werewolves, a member of the Quileute tribe that has forever been the mortal enemy of vampires. Jacob undergoes his first transformation into a wolf in response to a new vampire threat, and he becomes busy patrolling the forest with his pack, searching for vampires in the area. When Bella is caught by the vampire Laurent alone in a clearing, she is saved by Jacob and the pack, who manage to destroy Laurent.

Bella, who has been taking risks to feel closer to Edward, impulsively jumps off a cliff and almost drowns, but Jacob saves her life. Edward had presumed her dead which was not the case, Jacob is disgusted by Edward's return and by Bella's willingness to take him back after he left her; he is also outraged when he learns of Bella's desire to become a vampire. Jacob reminds Edward of his tribe's treaty with the Cullen family, which states that the Cullens are not allowed to bite any humans.

Jacob attempts to distance himself from Bella by not returning her phone calls and refusing to see her, enraged by the fact that Bella plans to become a vampire. Later, Jacob visits Bella and Edward to discuss the vampire Victoria's return, and he tells Bella that he misses her and wishes that they can remain friends. With Edward's approval, Bella begins to visit Jacob on a regular basis. On one of these visits, Jacob tells Bella that he is in love with her and that he wants her to choose him over Edward. Bella is caught off guard by his confession and tells him she only thinks of him as a friend. He forcibly kisses her, much to her displeasure, and she reacts by punching him in the jaw and breaking her hand.

Jacob's pack of werewolves and the Cullen family join forces to defeat Victoria and the army of vampires she has created. Before the battle, Jacob overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement, angering him greatly. Jacob threatens suicide and Bella, in an attempt to stop him, asks him to kiss her. Afterward, she comes to the realization that she is in love with Jacob, but her love for Edward is greater. The epilogue is written from Jacob's point of view; angry and hurt at Bella's decision to become a vampire, he runs away in his wolf form to escape his pain.

Phinneas never knew that once a long time ago, after October was born and before he came along that his parents had considered fostering kids in their home. They had signed up and filled out all the paperwork, and he didn't know that any of it was finalized or even a concern of his until that fateful summer just before senior year. His parents were still mourning the loss of Phin's older sister, and her room was still a shrine to her perfect life. Phin never understood why they loved October more than he, but he was sure it had to do with her being female. October never had to worry about competing for her parents attention or love or gratitude. Phin was the only one meant to bear that amount of pain and guilt for being the unwanted child.

Phin was seated in the living room with his parents and this guy, an Agent Monroe of Social Services, listening to them discuss the case of a young girl who's lost her family, and how she has no where else to turn. It was just two days before that his parents had told him that they were going to foster a child, and that a representative of the state's child care services was coming by to discuss the girls case. Phin listened as his parents and Mr. Monroe talked about this girl who had nothing left in life and that they wanted her to be placed in a stable home, surrounded by love.

It was all Phin could do to sit still. He had promised his mother he'd be here, but he'd rather be anywhere but here. He was not sure why he had agreed. Maybe because he wanted to get the skinny on who would be replacing his sister in this family. Maybe he wanted to fond out first hand how his father felt about this, and it seems he's quite happy. Apparently the girl is a Christian and a Saint. That is what her social worker said, so it must be true. It made his mind wonder about all the reasons she could really be in foster care. After an hour, the meeting was over, Agent Monroe said his goodbyes and promised to call with more details on the girls arrival. That very weekend, his parents had October's room cleaned out.

Phin had been dreading this day. He was wearing some workout shorts and a white tank. He was barefoot and not willing to make a good impression on his new foster sister. She was supposed to be a young teen anyways. He was sitting in the living room when he heard a car pull up on the street out front. He had gotten up to look out the window when his father slapped the back of his head and said 'Son, don't be rude'. Phin wanted to hit him back, but he let himself calm down. He rubbed the back of his head and took a seat in the nearest recliner, not surprised to see how nervous his mother was. The doorbell rang and his parents went to open the door. Hello's were said, welcome's were said, come in's were said.

He was still sitting on the chair when Agent Monroe and a teenager, a cute blonde walked into the room. His Father introduced himself to the girl and his Mom and then added 'and that is our son, phin'. Phin rolled his eyes at his lame excuse of a father. He wasn't sure what to make of this situation, so he intended to stay seated and quiet for as long as possible.
