Moving slowly through the underbrush of the dense forest near the Cullen mansion, Tami took in all the different scenes that her gift was showing her. As she stood in different places she could get different pieces of the past, insignificant, yes, but necessary to the rest of the world also. One thing that she had learned over her life was that everything happened for a reason, even when that event was a bird eating an earthworm. That tiny thing could help in changing the course of the future. The tiniest things, the most boring events, had a big impact even if no one else but Tami could comprehend them.
Now that she had been getting little glimpses of a different lifestyle as a vampire, one less horrific, she had decided to go and check it out. As she had gotten closer and closer the past had gotten stronger and stronger and more interesting. The individual stories had emerged, and out of those she had been espically interested in Jasper, Alice and Rosalie. Esme was also a good history, almost like a modern fairy tale. Going from abused wife to vampire beauty and new wife of an amazing doctor was something that was not very common. It really was a one of a kind story, and one that had captivated the imagination of Tami.
So now here she was, after getting rid of the psychic midget alone in the forest. She could have easily found her way to the house, but if history was any indication, another family member, or perhaps Kate who was styaing with them, would come and greet her. It was a bit presumptious, but it was the normal routine, and judging by a couple hundred years of being alive, humans and vampires alike did not like to vary from their routines. So, sitting on a moss covered log she looked out into the leaves and rocks and grass and let her mind wander.
On this particular spot there had been more than one important conversation. Some early settlers had disputed over whether or not to settle her, one saying there was nowhere else to go, and one saying that they needed to go south to California. In the end they stayed and became two of the original settlers of Forks. It was interesting, important, and would eventually bring the Cullens and herself to Forks. It would be the reason that Edward and Bella met, and all the drama that came with it. It would form strong bonds between the Cullens and would also bring out the bad side in some, but it had all been worth it. So far.

( OOC – Hey it’s Manda. I decided to throw you a curveball and use my human character. Sorryyy if it’s sorta short/lame. Hahaha. It'll get interesting when they've gotta interact. ) Elise pedaled her pink and purple bicycle off the main roads and into the woods on the outskirts of Forks, humming to herself. Although she probably wasn’t allowed to veer off the path, Lissie found herself finding a tree to climb or lay under to read for a few hours every day after school. She was a little adult in her large family, so even at eight she was a latch-key kid. She was wearing a red tee shirt with black polka dots, jeans, and her favorite black ballet flats. The lady bug look was working for this little girl. She had her messenger bag over her shoulder, filled with a few books, her inhaler, and her glasses case.
She skidded to a stop when she found an open area of the woods, smiling to herself as she hopped down from her bike and kicked up the stand. Lissie flopped down under a tree and tugged out a book from her bag. The binding was so worn that it was obvious the young girl had read it far too many times. She smiled as she opened to a specific page – her favorite chapter. She began reading silently, leaning comfortably against the tree trunk. Washington may have been a “lame” place in her siblings’ opinions, but Elise loved it. She was also blissfully unaware of the dangers that went bump in the forest regularly.
About halfway down the page, Lissie heard a few crunches of leaves rather close to where she was sitting. She quirked one eyebrow and looked up from her book. Shaking her head, she let out a nervous laugh. “Oh, silly, you’re getting freaked out over nothing,” she said to herself, digging in her bag for her glasses. She tugged them from her case and slipped them on her face, resettling herself and continuing to read. Another few crunches of leaves and she frowned a bit. It’s gotta just be animals, she thought. She bit her bottom lip for a moment, leaning to look around the trees for a second. “Hmm,” she said aloud before looking down to her book. She began to hum a bit, trying to distract herself from the noises. Needless to say, Lissie was quite oblivious to the vampire stalking around in the woods nearby.

The scent of human hit Tami like a brick wall. For a moment a well of venom filled her mouth, but when her gift allowed her to see the human it immediately went away. It was a little girl reading not even a hundred feet away. She was one of the most adorable things that Tami had ever seen, and as soon as she watched her settle in, looking like an oversized ladybug, all longing for this girls blood died away. That and the fact that Tami had been building up her immunity to the scent of humans. Moving almost silently towards the spot that the girl was at she got to about ten feet away before she snapped the twig. Becoming still like only a vampire can do, she waited until the girl went back to reading. Then she moved out into the girls line of sight.
Watching her closly she could feel some of her instincts from her human life coming back. Compassion, motherly protection, and about a hundred things. Why it was coming back for this girl was a mystery, but she suspected it had to do with the fact that she had been a premature baby, and that she had been delivered, unknowingly, by a vampire. And not any vampire, but a certain Dr. Cullen that Tami happened to admire very much. Slowly moving towards the girl named Elise Lambert she introduced herself.
"Hi. Im Tami." Now that the girl would for sure have figured out that she was not alone Tami moved closer yet. "What book do you have there?"
Trying to act as human as she could she remembered to blink at regular intervals and to shift her weight every now and then. It was at that moment that she remembered that her eyes were bright crimson from feeding just a few days before in Seattle. Oh well. She would just have to make up some excuse for them if the girl asked. Elise was smart and observant according to her past, and it was almost a given that she would recognize the strangeness of red eyes. In fact, of the girl went running and screaming away from Tami she wouldnt blame her.
"So, whats your name?" She already knew, but if she wanted to appear normal she had to ask before using it.
