GENERAL APPEARANCE:

Cleo is very tall at 5ft 8 and very slim, which is surprising for the amount of children she has had, but Cleo has always respected her body and lives a very healthy life style, although recently she has taken up smoking again. She has medium sized hips and small breasts. Childbirth hasn’t effect her body too much accept for the stretch marks across her stomach and breasts, although she often worries about them she has been informed on countless occasions it didn’t make her any less beautiful. She has her doubts though. Cleo has long blonde hair; it is naturally curly and falls just short of her shoulders, however when she can be bothered to straighten it her long blonde locks reach below her shoulders. It has been said that her eyes are her best feature, she has shockingly bright blue eyes that contrasts with her pale skin. Cleo’s face is lined with thin lines, under her eyes, across her forehead and around her mouth. They aren’t overly obvious and can be covered with makeup but they are the sure signs of her age.

GENERAL PERSONALITY:
Cleo is extremely headstrong, once she has an idea in her head she will follow it through, very rarely has she changed her mind on something. She has an over active imagination, she’s one of those people who will watch a horror film then see the killer around every corner. She has often been terrified and had to be comforted by one of her children. Horror films have recently been banned in their household. Her imagination has its uses; she is extremely good at her job and often comes up with fun things for the students to do. She’s currently working on creating more things for the young people of Forks to get involved in.
She is very persistent and can be quite forceful with her opinions, she a very good public speaker. With her children she can be quite strict, she doesn’t tolerate arguing and will be quick to put her foot down if arguments occur. She tries to encourage her children to be nice to each other and to get involved in each others lives, but with having so many children and a demanding job she tends to neglect their lives and sometimes misses things that are crucial.

GENERAL HISTORY:
Cleo was born to Tess and Steve Wood, Tess struggled to conceive and after Cleo was born she was unable to conceive any more children. The family lived in a small house on the edge of Forks and Cleo had to walk to school everyday alone. She often wished her family was bigger, she hoped for a brother or sister who could walk the long walk to school with her.
When Cleo reached fourteen, she became more aware of her fathers drinking problem. It was clear he had had a drink problem for years but as she grew older his addiction became worse. She’d lie in bed at night and hear the arguments between her mother and father, she always vowed she’d never let her family be like the one she was in now. When she went to school she’d wonder what the other children’s parents were like, If they argued like hers did.
At the age of seventeen her father died from his addiction, Cleo and her mother continued their lives. Both of them had accepted the fact that Steve wasn’t going to overcome his addiction and were prepared for his death. Cleo went to study Drama at the university in settle. It was there she met Paul Butler; he was an assistant teacher at the university, specializing in maths and science. Cleo’s best friend had classes with him and she often ran into him during study periods. It didn’t take much for Cleo to fall head over heels for him, he was clever, attractive and it appeared he was interested in her.
Cleo finished her time at university, on rather a scandalous note. She was pregnant with Mr Butler’s child, however she didn’t care what other people thought and although he’d been asked to leave the school the two didn’t worry about it. They had enough money to set up a nice home in forks ready for the baby to be born. Cleo’s first child was born on the 17th of August, a baby girl. They named her Melody and soon after Cleo fell pregnant with Liam.
The next year was bliss, the two enjoyed the year watching their children grow up, Cleo took up a job as drama teacher at Forks High School, working within the school and around the community. However as a lot of young couples find marrying young and having children isn’t always the way to go. Cleo and Paul seemed to drift apart, Cleo wanted to spend more time with her children, at Forks Park, in the garden etc and Paul just seemed to want to be else were. He never seemed to be fully with them, even when they were spending family time together.
It was a late Thursday evening and Cleo was bringing the children back from their friends party when she discovered his affair. She’d been aware that their marriage was becoming a loveless one but she hadn’t dreamed he would be seeing someone else. Entering the house she heard the chinking of glasses and entered the living room to see Paul sat on the sofa with a young woman, the two were extremely close and Cleo wasn’t mistaken with his intents. Cleo ushered the children upstairs who were both confused and tired. Cleo then had to have one of the most difficult conversations of her life.
Paul moved in with his new girlfriend and Cleo got the house and children. She allowed Paul to visit very weekend and the children often went back to Paul’s when she was working late. Although she hadn’t forgiven him for being the coward and not trying to mend their relationship she was determined not to stay bitter towards him. Cleo met Hugh while in Seattle one weekend; the two started dating, however during this time Paul married the woman. The children attended the wedding but Cleo refused to.
Four months later Cleo found out she was pregnant, she talked with Hugh about the situation and the two decided that they wanted to marry. Cleo was surprised when she found out she was carrying twins, but she was excited and the prospect of having a large family. The birth wasn’t easy as the two baby girls were late and Cleo had to be induced. Hugh and Cleo were proud to have two healthy baby girls and once all three were given the all clear they brought them back to the family home in forks.
It would be silly to say that they lived happily, large families have their problems and Hugh and Cleo’s did also. Money worries for one, Cleo and Hugh’s jobs although paid well didn’t cover the expenses that they were spending on their children and paying for the house was expensive too.
It couldn’t have come at a worse time for Cleo to discover she was pregnant yet again. This would be her fifth child and although she had always wanted a large family, this wasn’t quite what she had in mind. She thought about aborting It but she couldn’t bare to think she was killing a life, Hugh although worried about their money problems supported Cleo in her decision to have the child and nine months later she gave birth to a baby boy Logan. They now had five young children to take care of.
Lucky for Cleo she was promoted to head of the drama department at Forks High School, which came with a slightly larger paycheck. They started saving all the children’s clothes to give to the other children as hand-me-downs. Things were beginning to sort themselves out, although Hugh and Cleo were struggling with the family and the money, both of them managed to keep in good humour with each other and keep the family happy.
Hugh joked that everything would be fine now that Cleo had stopped popping babies out but the smile was soon wiped off his face when she declared yet again that she was pregnant. For Melody and Liam this was nothing new. They knew what a new baby mean, but for Logan it was extremely exciting as Cleo began to put on weight and show signs of pregnancy.
However having so many children had taken a toll on Cleo’s body and the doctors informed her she must take time off work to rest or she would be putting herself and the child at risk. Hugh had to take up more hours to try to make up for her loss of pay while she struggled to look after the children at home and rest at the same time.
She went into labour prematurely and was rushed to hospital were she was bleeding badly. She was lucky that Doctor Carlisle Cullen was on call to assist her with her birth and to help stop the bleeding. If he hadn’t have been there it would have been likely she would have bled to death. Elise Lambert was born that day, and as Hugh firmly told Cleo in the hospital ward would most defiantly be their last child.
