I think I forgot to breathe
FULL NAME: Jasper Whitlock Hale
NICKNAMES: Jazz
AGE: Forever Twenty, although really one hundred and sixty five.
BIRTHDAY: 1843
SEXUALIY: Straight
JOB: College Student
SPECIES: Vegetarian Vampire
CANON: Yes
I’m nothing but a human, after all. Nothing special.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: The Cullen family is well known for being excessively good looking, and Jasper is no exception. Standing at the relatively tall height of six-foot-three, Jasper towers over many that are often seen around him. While when compared to his adopted brothers he may look like nothing special, there is much more than meets the eye. His hair is generally unkempt, honey blond locks generally kept fairly short. Truth be told, Jasper could be seen as a mix of both Edward and Emmett, possessing Edward's style of look and some of Emmett's muscle. Unlike Emmett however, Jasper is far leaner, much more tone than mere muscle mass.
Prominent cheek bones are a standout, and his eyes, while similar to the rest of his coven, are still a focal point. They are commonly golden, tending to fade to a somewhat honey color that seems to match his hair. When thirsty however, his eyes turn black. The coal color never seems to last for long, and then he is back to normal. He wears the same style of clothing as the rest of the Cullen's, although it is not uncommon to see him wearing something different due to a whim of Alice's. Underneath the clothing however, his skin is criss-crossed with small crescent shaped scars, a reminder of his past.
MOST LIKED FEATURE: He tends to be partial to his hair color.
MOST HATED FEATURE: He has never cared for his eyes, presumably because they reveal him for what he really is.
HERITAGE: American
ETHNICITY: Caucasian
You’re not the only vampire I know.
GENERAL PERSONALITY: To many, Jasper comes off as the 'quiet one'. The reasoning behind such behavior is simple, although few actually get to hear as much. The newest of the Cullen's, Jasper is still unused to the vegetarian lifestyle. In truth, it is not his first choice. He does it however, because of Alice. While most don't quite understand the relationship between Jasper and Alice, he has never cared. His priority has been her for over the last half of a century, and keeping her happy is typically the main thing on his mind.
When he takes the opportunity to speak, Jasper is quite charismatic. This charisma is the reason he was bitten to begin with, and it is a possibility that it is for exactly this reason that he is typically so soft spoken. This is not to say that he is reclusive, as that is not true by any means. Were it not to appease Alice, Jasper wouldn't have attended high school at all, his thirst always in the back of his mind. He is able to control it however, mostly because of her, even if it means that he keeps a safe distance from most of the humans.
HOBBIES: Reading, Betting Against Emmett and Edward (he isn't stupid enough to do so with Alice), Playing Sports
DISLIKES: Newborns, Being enclosed with Humans, Hot Weather, Asylums, Human Food.
LIKES: Fast Cars, Strategy Games, Baseball, History, Clouds
FEARS: Losing Alice, Being Unable to Restrain himself while around humans.
SECRETS: They're secrets for a reason.
We can’t all be freakishly strong.
GENERAL HISTORY: Born in Texas in 1843 as Jasper Whitlock, he spent most of his early years as typical children did in those days. Working outside, helping his father with random chores. His life was fairly boring during his adolescence, with much of his free time becoming devoted to what few books he could get his hands on. At the age of eighteen he enlisted in the Confederate Army, prepared to fight for the South in the Civil War. While most soldiers remained just that, useful for little more than grunt-work, Jasper quickly ascended through the ranks due to his natural charisma. He had acheived the rank of Major before his life ended, and could have possibly had quite a career if things had taken a different path.
Unfortunately for him, they didn't. A vampire named Maria had learned of him, his extremely charismatic personality, and the quickness with which he seemed to adapt to things. In the summer of 1863 she attacked, making Jasper like her, a vampire. His purpose was to help her claim the territory of Monterrey, which he fulfilled without much difficulty. She then put him to work with a new responsibility. It would be up to him to train young vampires, and then kill them when their use ran out. Typically this time period lasted around a year, until the point where their strength began to fade. It is during this time in his life that Jasper obtained all of the crescent shaped scars that adorn his body, all of them from the fledgling vampires that he has destroyed. He grew tired of this lifestyle after a time, and set out to join with an old friend of his, Peter, a nomad. He lived with Peter and his mate Charolette for only a few short years before leaving them, his opinions on feeding on humans a bit different than their own. Jasper was torn. On on hand, he felt as if he needed to feed on humans, as if there was no satisfying alternative. The other hand however, was powered by the fact that his ability to set the mood and feel as others felt made him feel the emotions of his prey as he killed them.
He had made it to Philadlphia by 1948 where, inside a half-empty diner, he first saw her. Alice, the woman that he would marry. Alice led him to Carlisle, and the rest of the Cullens, and together they joined the coven in 1950. The time since then has passed fairly quickly, most of it spent with Alice. Although he does not openly admit it to many, Jasper feels just as strongly for Alice as Edward does for Bella. Some, like Carlisle and Esme, can see this, although that may just be due to how long they have known each other. Behind Carlisle, Jasper is the oldest of the family, and this can commonly be seen when he steps in as the 'voice of reason' between Emmett and Edward.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: Taken From Stargate Delta
When he had been inromed of his newest assignment, Agent Pierce had been under the impression that he would be sitting at a desk somewhere milling over paperwork until he was satisfied one way or the other. That had not turned out as expected however, when he had been informed that they best way to learn about the Delta Expedition would be to go off-world a time or two and see how the teams operated. He had arrived on the base only two days before, and had basically been rushed into a briefing for an off-world mission. He had been informed that he would be traveling with 'SD-1', a team which some were comparing to SG-1. He would find out for himself soon enough if they were worthy of the comparison, although he highly doubted it. Some viewed him as a skeptic, a cynic, however he simply saw himself as a realist. The chances that this team would impress him were slim to none, and it didn't look like slim was going to be showing up for work. He had been shown the armory, and various weapons had been suggested too him. The fact of the matter though, was that Matthew had never been one of those 'shoot first' kind of guys. Quite the contrary, he had always been the one that tried to avoid using his weapons for as long as possible. He had opted for two weapons, both sidearms, and after being led to his quarters he had been left well enough alone until it had been time for the mission to begin.
He had introduced himself as they were suiting up, the team itself in their usual garb, while he wore a black suit. He wanted them to feel him there, to know he was breathing down their necks. They, of course, had no idea why he was actually here. Not even the commander of the base knew. Matthew however, did. His rank was sufficient enough within the IOA that he knew all of it's inner workings, and this assignment was no exception. After the team had gotten to their designated world, codenamed 'Amedi', Matthew took up a place near the back of the group. Both of his sidearms remained concealed, although a small notebook could be seen in his hand. On occasion a flash of movement, and then his pen was put away once more. They would be curious as to what he was writing, and he was almost tempted to pretend to write just to bother them on occasion. For the time being though, he was merely writing things that he could skim over later to recall the mission more vividly. Photographic memory though he had, it was always nice to have something to help jog it in the event he was forced to recall it in it's entirety. Which of course he would be, most likely before a tribunal if he gave the recommendation everyone assumed he would. He had given the same recommendation for multiple classified projects over the last few years, and it would be no big surprise if he did so once more.
While he had been content to merely observe thus far, now he was intrigued. The commanding officer, Major O'Malley, seemed to have found a woman. The intellectual side of him was intrigued, wanted to learn more about her. The business side though, the one in charge right now, would not allow it. Whipping out the notebook and pen once more, Matthew made a note about the discovery. Stepping forward now, Matthew stood next to Major O'Malley. He hoped to throw him off now when he spoke, to see how he reacted. "William. What are the chances of this woman being fully restored when she wakes up entirely? She could be a vital source of intelligence about this planet to the IOA." Yes, he had called him William, so what? He was allowed to call anyone anything he wanted, and presently he hoped that William would make the Major uncomfortable.
