“C’mon!” Indie whined, tugging at CJ’s hand which she’d long ago claimed in her grip. And no one was allowed to suspect anything just by the sight of that intertwining of fingers, as an excellent back-story had been thoroughly thought out and provided: they were old childhood friends that had gotten tangled in a confusing on again off again dating web before being separated. They hadn’t seen each other since she moved away to come to Forks two years, but his mother got a promotion and the family relocated, suddenly reuniting the two lovebirds.
Brilliant, if Indie was allowed to say so herself.
Lunch at Forks basically amounted to a room filled with warm bodies and pointless conversation that built a carefree atmosphere, the occasional vampire thrown in just to keep things interesting. One of those thrown in vampires currently found herself in the process of trying to drag another through the lunch line, having to remind him in a voice inaudible to human ears that they couldn’t actually eat the food without having to get rid of it later. “Perfect, we’re already freaks. Let’s try and make them think we’re anorexics too!” The thought rang bitterly inside the confines of her head, and she tugged on CJ’s hand once more to try and silently tell him to just pick something- preferably something small so that she wouldn’t feel bad the next time someone mentioned the starving children in Kenya- and go. Earlier that morning at her apartment hadn’t been any better; he was like a kid in a candy store or some other cliché along those lines. It was like everything was new to him, and she’d frequently found herself just leaning back and watching him as he relearned what it was like to have to get ready in the morning. She’d been done in five minutes, partaking in her daily ritual of marveling at how much could be accomplished when inhuman speed was tossed into the picture. The really amusing part was that he’d been more worried about how he was going to look than she’d been; and she was the one who had a surplus of x chromosomes! Chuckling as the scene replayed in the front of her mind, Indie turned on her heel to lead CJ through the cafeteria with the excuse that he didn’t know where he was going yet quirking her lips into a satisfied, if not smug, smirk. It felt nice to be the more knowledgeable one for a change. The disbelieving -coughjealouscough- whispers attacked her ears like a persistent buzzing bee- “How’d she end up with him? She’s not even that pretty!” “They aren’t really dating, it’s all a show.”- and just like a bee they were swatted carelessly to the side. “Denial, thy name is teenage hormones.” she mumbled quietly enough that only someone with a heart that had ceased beating could hear her. She set the tray that she’d been balancing in one hand down on a half-abandoned table near the windows, sitting down in the chair and finally releasing CJ’s hand. She peered up at him out of the corner of her eye, trying to gauge just how much tolerance he had left before he needed to be dragged out of here. A room full of easy targets must not have been easy for him. Indie really hoped the saying “You can’t teach a new dog old tricks” was going to be proven false. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Posting with- CJ/ open Lookin' like- [this]Listening to- “Her Diamonds” Rob Thomas & “Everything You Want” Vertical Horizon Word Count- 575 Notes- Sorry that it’s kinda short![/blockquote]

CJ was estatic, when they had reached Indies apartment he had ran around like a maniac for atleast half of the night. Turning on taps, turning them off. Switching the washing machine on and off to the point where it broke. He had somehow even managed to smash a mirror, he'd leaned in a little to close while doing his hair waxx this morning. The poor mirror did not stand a chance. The good news was that his hair wasn't damaged in the slightest. It felt surreal being in a real home, with unncecessary human appliances. After a long shower, and cuddling down with Indie it finally hit him. He was going to highschool. A strange feeling washed over him, he didn't quite know how to place it. He had a faded memory somewhere deep in his unconscious, from his human life. Butterflies. He was nervous, no matter how much of a bravado he may put on, he was after all only human... well that fact may be false but the sentiment behind it is true. The morning had come around far to quickly, and his butterflies were doubled with excitement. He must have tried atleast twenty outfits on that morning, modelling them for Indie. She seemed to sit there still enough, taking them in, yet CJ secretly thought she was just enjoying watching him parade about in just his boxers. He finally settled on a pair of stonewashed denim jeans, a v necked top that showed off his toned phsyic and that pair of lacoste trainers he'd been nagging Indie to buy since... forever. He had glanced himself up and down in the mirror, his eyes focusing on his now brown eyes due to the contacts. Indie was dressed and ready in a fraction of the time. She looked perfect. "Blooming X chromosone!" he had growled playfully giving her a lingering kiss.
It had never occured to him that they would need a story, well it made sense to him now he thought about it. It would be a little odd if he had just turned up out of the blue and was suddenley madly in love with Indie. She came up with the back story they were childhood sweethearts reunited. That story was fine for him. He wasn't quite sure what to expect for this, he knew there would be other vampires, that he could cope with, he thinks. But the humans that would be the challenge. He hadn't been in a situation where he was in such a close range to so many. Earlier in the morning he had practically killed himself with erosole abuse, he had used the regular human amount of Imperio Armarni diamonds yet he had found out that his super vampire senses were infact alot stronger than he realised. He had spent most of the morning coughing it up in the sink until his nose and throat became accustomed to the smell. He hoped that this may drown out the human scent a little bit.
Arriving at the school had come all to soon, as they walked through the parking lot the smell hit him like a bulldozer. He tensed, everything in him urging him to feed. He looked over at Indie who was clutching his hand and didn't seem to ever want to let go, this was fine with him. He realised why he was doing this, he took slow occasional breathes. He knew that if he held his breath he would never get used to it. Also if any human got close enough they may think it was a tad strange he wasn't breathing. Knowing his luck he'd be dragged off to the nurses office, only to be seduced by the large pensioner. He shuddered at the thought. He looked around, his acute eyes taking in all the people around him, he was suprised to see that many of their eyes were infact upon him. He turned to Indie, raising a quizical eyebrow. CJ had gone through the apparently usual first day, he was split from Indie originally and had to go through all the paper work and be shown around the school. He had wanted Indie to show him about but he'd been presented with a blonde cheerleader. He almost sighed outloud, as she flicked him a flirtacious smile. "So how do you know Indie?" she had asked. Her intention clear. "She's my girlfriend. We've known eachother years but i've just moved up here," CJ had to bite back a growl when he saw the expression on her face. Girls could be so bitchy, he hated it. He was finally reunited with Indie and he made sure he planted a long, lingering kiss on her lips and gently on her neck just to make his point. From that moment on Indie's hand hadnt' left his. "Come on CJ" she had said, opening a pair of doors infront of him. The smell had become less noticeable... well he knew it was there, but he expected it there. But this smell felt as though the school nurse had infact sat on him in his human life. He held his breathe, giving Indies hand a gently squeeze he exhaled. That was when the whispers started, first he heard the girls. "“How’d she end up with him? She’s not even that pretty!” “They aren’t really dating, it’s all a show.”- he glared at them before leaning down an kissing Indie in full display of the whole cafeteria. Thats when the boys responses hit "Damn. why's she with him... i wonder if that means she won't be avaible friday anymore... Have you seen her arse in those jeans" He responded to those last comments with a statement of "Well yes i have seen that, and frankly its not up for grabs" gently murmering this against her lips. He had picked up something that resembled a batch of road kill. It was slightly undercooked as well, tinged red. Excellent, he might actually be able to swallow it. Maybe. He placed his tray down next to hers, well aware of all the eyes upon them. The cheerleader that had showed him around this morning bounded forward dragging along three of her cronies, he looked at Indie and dramatically rolled his eyes. "Hi CJ, these are my friends Lisa and Jazz i thought you'd like to meet them,", all three stood there blinking so rapidly you would think they were having an epilectic fit. CJ smiled politely yet gave Indies hand a gentle squeeze. "Hi, nice to meet you. You know my girlfriend Indie right?"his voice emphasizing the girlfriend statement. A smug grin appearing on his face, this was alot more fun than he thought.

E M M E T T C U L L E N We’re sorry Newton ! We never meant to spill your drink ! Why were Mondays always the most boring school days? Probably because he didn’t have Spanish on Mondays and only had one class with Mike Newton and that was the last class but that did give him all day to think up some way of terrorizing the kid. So far today he had come up with several little plans, none to the high standard Emmett would have liked. He was losing his touch. He let out a sigh – completely human but he had to when surrounded by them – dinner time was probably the best time of the day even if he couldn’t eat anything. He made his way down the path and turned into the double doors which were pinned back. He heard some girls giggle and whisper to each other. He’d never get bored of a human girls reaction to him. He grinned and glanced over to the back table. No Cullens had arrived yet but he smiled when he saw Indie and CJ.
Wait. CJ? He looked again, yep that was defiantly CJ. Cool he’d joined school after all. Maybe that would liven his day up a bit? He made his way through the middle of the canteen, not even bothering to get some food. He didn’t see the point; Rose would get enough for the both of them to “eat” when she got here. She always did.
He was passing Mike Newton and with in-human speed (so no human could see him do it) he hit the bottom of his drink he was taking a drink from. He couldn’t help but laugh as pop went everywhere – especially all over Mike. ”Careful Mike. You’ll have to go back to a baby bottle if you’re going to be so careless. “ he laughed and carried on, reaching the table at a human pace. He took his usual seat and smiled at Indie and CJ. ”Welcome to hell” he grinned at CJ. ”Well it’s not that bad i guess, as long as the Newton boy sticks around. He’s the daily entertainment around here” he laughed and glanced over to where Mike was trying to get it too look less like he’d wet himself. Edward would love this when Em told him later.
”So how’s your first day been so far?” he asked. He looked at Indie and smiled. ”Hey Indie, i see your behind this torture you are making CJ endure” he laughed again.

The little displays of possession that CJ had taken to making could be misinterpreted as signs of affection, but in this environment filled with jealous teenagers it was obvious that affection wasn’t what he was aiming to show. Though her annoyance bubbled just beneath the surface, Indie let it slide. She willingly let him claim her as his in front of the whole cafeteria- and therefore the majority of the student body- if only because she knew that the gossip would die down and with it would die some of his over protectiveness. “Why are guys always so overprotective?” the only female vampire in the room wondered aloud, resting her chin in her palm. She absently picked at her food, shifting it around on the tray to at least make it look like she’d eaten some of the… was that macaroni and cheese or chicken salad? Wrinkling her nose in disgust, she pondered over how cafeteria food could have gone so far downhill in only eighteen years; it had to be decent looking- and by that, she meant edible- somewhere in the world!
While a quote from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory spun around inside her head, three cheerleaders approached the table. Indie would have bet any amount of money that they’re intentions were far more devious than they tried to make it appear; what she wouldn’t give to have Edward’s power in this situation! “Wait, back up, I’m being jealous? Bad! Bad, bad, bad.” In order for CJ to get used to the back-stabbing world of teenagers, she’d have to take the high road and be the bigger one in this relationship. In other words; she couldn’t let the little green monster snarling in her mind for her to jump up and rip off some limbs get to her. "Hi CJ, these are my friends Lisa and Jazz I thought you'd like to meet them,” Cheerleader numero uno batted her eyelashes, or at least attempted to. She looked like she had a twitch that sadly affected both eyes. A smile tugged at Indie’s lips, and she curled her fingers into a fist, chin still resting in her palm, to cover it. The two cronies attempting to mimic their fearless leader only added more amusement to the entire situation, as they were worse at the act of batting eyelashes than cheerleader numero uno- the title fit. “Hi, nice to meet you. You know my girlfriend Indie right?" Indie moved her hand only to cross her forearms on the surface of the table, leaning forward slightly to rest her weight on them. A polite smile graced her features, though she wanted nothing more than to bare her teeth at the three and growl at them; they’d probably have run off scared, though, and then she’d have some explaining to do. “Hello Stacey,” She felt she deserved some sort of award for the effort put into not adding some other form of emotion- anger, jealousy, malicious intent, etc.- into the blonde’s name. “Lisa, Jazz.” She nodded in acknowledgement, attempting to memorize scents so that she could destroy lockers or cars later if they kept challenging her for CJ’s attention. Upon seeing that CJ was serious and that she wasn’t the least bit threatened by them, the cheerleaders turned to stalk back to their own table without another word to them; their grumbling arose just as soon as they would have been out of earshot had Indie been a human. Emmett Cullen’s voice broke through her pleasant little mental victory rant, and she turned her head to see him sitting at the Cullen table, his eyes fixed on the two of them. She grinned, and gave a shrug that would pass unnoticed by a human. “You, of all people, should know that it wasn’t my decision to make him come here.” Her gaze shifted a little to glance at CJ out of the corner of her eye, wondering what force of nature had caused the little gears in his mind to work up the plot to attempt high school again. “I’m beginning to think that he’s either a masochist or trying to impress me.”- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Posting with- CJ & Emmett & Open Lookin' like- [this]Listening to- Medley of the alternative songs on my iTunes account Word Count- six ninety-two Notes- I felt the blonde cheerleader needed a name.[/blockquote]

Edward wandered down the bustling corridors, lunch was probably he least favourite time of the day. A room full of lots of humans, gossiping, saying one thing and thinking another. It was enough to give him a brain hemoerage- maybe the fact he had to force down a few bites of disgusting human mush (not as in humans mushed up but the delightful roadkill the lunch ladies had prepared). He would only have to cough it up later in between seeing Bella home and sneaking back into her room. He wasnt sure that Bella would find him awfully attractive if he coughed up some roadkill onto her rug. The crowd of people infront of him moved, the girls eyes fixed on him whistfully. It was quite amazing the effect that him and his brothers had on the place. Yet strangley today Edward was hearing different things, about another boy. It wasn't just the odd teenage infatuation towards a human boy, it was everyone. Even the boys were thinking about him, well thinking about crushing him. He'd even heard Mike Newton making a snide remark to himself that he'd have even more competition for Bella now. Round one of Newton burgers coming right up, would you like extra mayo with that. Bella had just had gym, and he'd agreed to meet her in the cafeteria. This boy puzzled him, he'd focused quite enough into a persons mind to see him, yet just enough to get a few sparing details. By the sound of things girls were miffed already. He walked threw the doors into the bustling lunch area and his eyes caught where Emmett was. Why was Emmett there? he never left his table. He then looked to who was next to him, Indie and a boy he'd never seen before. He was obviously the boy who had been on every girls mind all morning. A vampire, and once more Indies mate. He was suprised Emmett was being friendly, yet within a millisecond he understood they were infact already acquainted and by the looks of it good friends. He also noticed the three human girls standing in close range of CJ, Edward stiffened. He realised the danger this could mean, he listened closely, CJ was infact thinking of ways to embarress them strangely. Something he said seemed to have worked as they stormed off. A grin crept into his face, he walked over to the lunch table and gave his brother a playful punch on the arm. "Sup bro, making friends ay? its about time!"
he moved himself next to Emmett and stared down at the two vampires infront of him. "Hey Indie, you look immensley smug," flashing her a friendly smile. His eyes met CJ's, he could see immediatly CJ was wary. Though he'd have to keep an eye on Bella, just to be safe, there was no reason Edward had to be rude. "CJ nice to meet you," extending his hand for CJ to take. " May i should explain, i've heard nothing about you since you arrived this morning. Both outloud and mentally. Indie's told me alot about you, i see you've already experienced my brother terroising Mike Newton, well i welcome you fully on board,". The thoughts that ran through CJ's head made him laugh out loud abruptly. He was sure they'd get on, any waryness CJ had immediatly had seemed to vanish. He continued to chuckle as he noticed every female and males gaze in the room was fixed on them. The females were hyperventilating, two cullens and the dreamy new guy all together. They thought they'd won the lottery. He glanced down at his watch, Bella was running late. He smiled apologetically at the three vampires. " Sorry guys, Bella's taking longer than usually she's probably tripped over a netball and drowned in the showers," he sighed dramatically. "I better go rescue her before Newton tries to play hero again, and ends up dropping her on her head, causing more damage,", giving them a brief grin he walked off. wordcount: unsure atm, it wont let me copy the text to check Stephii edit - 667 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

CJ smirked to himself, as soon as he'd dropped the girlfriend bomb he'd sure as hell burst their bubble. He felt Indie tense next to him when they had approached, he gently carressed the back on her hand with his thumb, before taking her delicate hand back into his much larger one. He understood how she felt, though would it be mashonistic for him to be slightly pleased that she was possesive... He hadn't liked it a few minutes ago when the guys had made comments about her. The three girls, though both Indie and the cheerleader had told him their names, he didnt remember them and wouldn't remember them, they were unnecessary. "No competition what so ever..." he leaned gently forward murmering into her ear. It was difficult for him not to kiss her, he was so used to being all over her, it was taking alot of self restraint. He would have to wait until they were back at the apartment. He turned his head to the cafeteria wall, a full three hours left. He groaned. "Torture" he muttered, knowing she'd hear. As he moved his head back round to face Indie he recognized a large figure making their way across the room, Emmett. A huge smile spread across CJ's face, he hadnt seen Emmett since they had last played ball. Where they had unfortunatly destroyed three major oak tree's. They had agreed from that moment on they would have to tone it down a bit. Edward had apparently already stolen the radioactive beaver excuse. CJ watched Emmett walk carefully across the room, yet as he walked past a arrogant looking boy that CJ had caught glaring at him earlier, Emmett's hand reached out at vampire speed, knocking the drink all over him. A laugh burst out of CJ's throat. He about fell off his chair laughing when he heard Emmett's all to innocent statement. "Careful Mike. You’ll have to go back to a baby bottle if you’re going to be so careless.. He felt all the eyes in the lunch room focus on him, he was at this point in hysterical laughter. So that was the infamous Mike Newton. He turned to glare at CJ, this only made CJ laugh louder. He muttered under his breath. "Suggestion Emmett, Newton steaks sound better than burgers, lovely to get my teeth into," he spoke so softly that only the two vampires in the room would hear. The smile stayed on his face as Emmett, welcomed him to hell. He then continued to torment Indie, "Yep, damn right, the things i do for her," he winked to Emmett. "You, of all people, should know that it wasn’t my decision to make him come here...I’m beginning to think that he’s either a masochist or trying to impress me.” he gently leaned over a gave Indie a kiss on the forehead. "Yes sweetie of course, and its probably a bit of both." he then winked at Emmett. "Also Emmett told me the effects we have on some of these females, i thought it might be a bit fun..." his eyes flickered up. All the eyes in the room followed this person, he was pale, tall, with golden eyes. Edward Cullen he presumed. Edward came over and shocked CJ by knowing who he was. The shock must have shown on his face as Edward felt the need to explain. "Oh of course, Indie mentioned..." he said flicking a slight grin. As soon as Edward invited him on the Mike Newton crusade a grin that could light the entire state of new york appeared on his face. "Yes, hopefully by the time we're done with him he will be drinking out of a baby bottle... is it just me? or is it a tad weird all these girls and guys watching. It's making me feel uncomfortable. I dont know how long this one," playfully poking Indie on her forehead. "Can control herself with all these females throwing themselves at me... All in a days work i suppose..." laughing abrupting from him, he imagined the expression on Indie's face. Turning to her he have her an impish angelic smirk. As Edward walked away to find Bella, CJ turned back to Emmett. His face poker face, but a twinkle still visible in his eyes, even through the mud brown contacts. "So, do you think this i stand a chance pulling this Mrs Cape ?"
