Bella had been to the cullens house before, but she still found it to be incredibly nice. One of the nicest houses that she had ever seen. She looked around once more even though this was perhaps her 100th visit to this place. She loved it and was determined to show Edward that she could be here without anything bad happening. Yes she remembered very well what happened on her birthday. That day hunted her dreams and mind ever since it happened. For that very reason Edward had left her he felt that by doing so he would leave Bella in better care. Though that was not the case and she was glad that Edward realized that.
She smiled as she looked upon Edward. He was, in fact, the most beautiful person that she had ever seen well other then his family. And he was hers she still couldn’t understand that fact. Because when she first met him she thought he hated her. Though she come to find out later that was because he had wanted to kill her because of her smell. She was not scared of him though she had told him that countless times she still had a feeling that he did not believe her. “Edward.” she breathed. Though she knew that every vampire in the house would hear her she still did it.
No one was in the room at the moment so she took the opportunity to walk over to him and sit on his lap. The other cullens wouldn’t care and she took that liberty. But if any of the other cullens walked in then she would sit next to him unless it was Alice that walked in. “Who is that vampire that is in the house?” she asked referring to Tami. She had never met that particular vampire before though she knew that she was a vampire. If you came to this house then you were or where going to be. As was bella’s case. Tag ;;; Edward.. Sitting near the base of an old pine tree, Tami watched the Cullen residence with a practiced eye. It was not the first time she had spied on them. In fact it nearing the hundreth time, but this was the first time they knew she was there. Shifting into a standing position in one fluid motion she began to walk towards the big glass window that covered the whole back of the home. The Cullens knew about her whether it was from Alice or Rose, but no one besides them knew her personally. The reason she was here today was because Bella was coming, and because Tami did not like her very much.
It wasnt that she hated Bella for no reason. She actually admired her in some aspects, but it was the fact that she was giving up, willingly, her humanity that bugged the vampire. Her family, friends, life, and love had been ripped away from her with no notice and she had been heartbroken. It was the worst thing to watch her siblings wither and die in front of her eyes. Her heart had become stone after that. She never got close to anything, nor did she plan to for the rest of eternity.
Moving silently, at least to the human ear, Tami moved around to the front door and came in behind Bella. As the human went to her mid reading fiance Tami let the guard around her mind fall away to let Edward know that she was harmless and that she was gifted. Her ability to see the past let her either soothe someone in pain, or it could allow her to bring up that persons worst memories. In this case she remained neutral and thought about nothing but not harming Bella.
When the irritating voice of the human rang out, asking who she automatically shifted her weight. Yes, she was a human eating vampire, but she had seen enough and practiced being around humans enough to resist them when she wanted to. Plus, she would never change a human. She had seen too many transformations to put someone through that much pain. Not even if they were dying. Sometimes things needed to die. It was natural. Not living forever, never that.
"I am Tami. You dont know me, but I know you Bella. I've known you for a while now." Her voice was monotone, for a vampire, and her red eyes emotionless. "How do you do?"

Edward was fully aware of the female vampire situated around the Cullen resident, and frankly it pissed him off a little. It wasn’t so much the fact that she was doing anything annoying, she was THINKING things that were annoying. She for no reason didn’t like Bella, and when a non-vegetarian vampire took that stance- Edward got a tad tetchy. When Bella questioned who the female vampire was, she had slipped in behind her. To human ears the vampires entrance would have been silent, but to Edward who was so on edge, so in tuned to anything that may threaten Bella- it sounded like a heard of arctic lorries driving across a mile of tort bubble wrap. A low warning growl slipped through his lips, telling the female vampire that if she showed the slightest signs of wanting to eat Bella he would greatly rip her a new jugular vein. His possessive stance only relaxed slightly when he heard what she was thinking, though she didn’t like Bella she wasn’t tempted anymore than the other Cullen’s were when around Bella, and she’d never change a human-after what she’d been through. Giving her a curt nod, he stepped away from the front of Bella, standing closely beside her. “Tami is a… friend of Rosalie’s…” he murmered, looking the vampire closely in the eyes. He knew what she’d be seeing as she let her mind guard down, she would see everything. Edward seeing Bella for the first time, kissing her, her falling asleep on his chest, all their special times. Yet she would also see the worst, when he left her, she would see the memories that Jacob so kindly replayed for him of when she left. Bella frail with no life. She would see when he found her in the dance studio… a sharp growl ripped through his throat and he winced. It wasn’t so much he was annoyed at her, simply because he could read her mind, everything she would see, was played back to him. Giving her a curt little nod, he slipped her hand around Bella’s waist and drew her close to him. “Tami is a friend to the family. She may not be like us, but she WON’T hurt you,” staring into the vampires blood red eyes, he passed her a subconscious warning. “What brings you here Tami? And for the benefit of Bella say it out loud, I think sometimes she feels like a mental mute,” his trademark lopsided grin creeping onto his features.

Bella glanced between Edward and the new vampire she felt him stiffen so she was immediately on alert. Though she really couldn’t do much since she as human after all. As she felt Edward relax a bit she relaxed right along with him. He could read minds and if she was going to hurt her then he would not of relaxed even a little bit. When Bella heard that Tami was a friend of Rosalie’s her only thought was ‘oh no’. but she figured that everyone just because Rosalie hated her didn’t mean Tami did. Though there was probably a pretty good chance of it. She sighed and leaned into Edward. “I’m doing good.” she said, not sure what to say. This vampire already knew who she was. And it was a bit awkward that she had known Bella for a while now and Bella had no idea who this vampire was. “How are you doing.” she said, trying not to look into Tami’s red eyes, when ever she was confronted with that she was always on the wrong side. Meaning they would always try to eat her. “It’s nice to meet you.” she muttered after a moment.
She leaned into Edward even more though she did this unconsciously. The cold of his skin did not even seem to bother her anymore. Though she did feel it a bit. What she felt mostly was the warmth that spread whenever he was near or touching her. He startled when she heard his growl again. Not knowing what was going on she looked between Tami and Edward they seemed to be having a ‘vampire’ moment in which the other vampire would talk to Edward in his mind. She felt out of the loop when he did this but she would never say anything. Though she didn’t know if Tami had any special ability or not. She hoped that if she did she wouldn’t use it to hurt Edward.
“A-alright.” she said, looking at Tami again. She didn’t like the sound of her not liking them. She must be just like Rosalie then. Not liking Bella because she wanted to be a vampire like them. They didn’t understand her side of the story. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to have children once she was turned but she would be with the man of her dreams for the rest of eternity. Maybe if she tried to explain her part then they would listen. Tough it seemed even Edward didn’t want her to be turned. Even though he knew that she would get old and eventually die. What was he going to do then. Kill himself because he had said that he would not live without her. Even though all that was going on at the minuet she had to smile at his lopsided grin. She loved that on him. Tag ;;; Tami& Edward Music ;;; none Status ;;; Finished Clothing ;;; what ever she wears Credit ;;; me and whom ever did the picture Word count ;;; 476 Notes ;;;

It was strange to her, even though she had seen it over and over again in her own mind, that a vampire and a human could be so... right together. It was one of the things that could not be denied, reversed, or changed by anyone anywhere. And it was times like these when she could see what Bella wanted by becoming a vampire. It would secure her place with Edward forever. It would make them inseparable. It would be harmony. But it would also be wrong after so many had lost humanity on a whim, without a choice. Like herself. Sometimes she had wished she was dead over living forever.
“What brings you here Tami? And for the benefit of Bella say it out loud, I think sometimes she feels like a mental mute,” The smallest of smiles came onto Tami's lips for a fraction of a second at this comment. It did seem that she and Edward had an advantage over Bella in this situation. And her mental roadblock didnt help either. So, for the sake of this particular human she went on to speak, something she did not often do.
"First of all, I want to explain to you what I can do. Just as Alice can see the future, I can see the past. The closer I get to a person, the clearer their past becomes," she stated, with a tiny bit of emotion. "You and Edward are a story that caught my interest. My curiosity peaked and I decided that I wanted to meet you in person."
Moving towards Bella slowly, Tami shot a mental note to Edward. "I swear that I will not harm her, and if my thought turn ugly please kick my ass out of your house before I hurt her." When she got to the human girl she paused and then reached out a cautious hand towards her arm. Turning it over so that the scar from the vampire called James was visible a whole new scene from the girls past flowed into her mind. Ballet as a girl, being attacked at the studio, the fear that her mother was dead, the get away at the airport, and the pain of the venom...
That was when Tami recoiled violently, letting go of Bella and moving to the other end of the room at vampire speed. That memory was the reason she was here. She had seen it and felt it hundreds of times and it was only a reminder to her of what she was. Of what she would always be. It was a pain that Edward would have felt through her mind, and her own memories of her transformation and of a thousand others. It was a pain she endured daily. And that was why Bella could not change. That was why she could not become a monster. If she was cursed with a gift like Tami's or Jaspers or Edwards it would be forever. There would be no going back. Once you were like this it was forever. And all the while her thoughts were bombarding Edward.

Feeling Bella lean into him, her scent hovered in his nostrils. Sure it held some appeal to him, but it was purely enjoying it. You cannot have your cake and eat it- as the wise saying once stated. That applied in this situation; if I ate Bella he could no longer have her. That was worth any pain or temptation he was put threw. Warmth spread through his cold flesh as she leant against him, it wasn’t like fire when Jacob touched him, but more of a pleasant reminder of how cold he infact was. “You have to remember Bella, we… we are not normal. There is nothing out there like us in the world. Others get curious,” he nodded at what Tami had stated. When Tami took a step towards Bella, Edward was ready to spring into action-until he heard the mental memo she shot him. Edward backed off to his original position, with a nod of confirmation to Tami’s statement. Being the only mind that Edward could hear currently, since old mental mute was still well… mentally mute to him, Edward was intoned to everything Tami was thinking. Not that he wouldn’t be intoned; he had to check that Tami didn’t lose it. When the images came it shocked Edward, infact shocked isn’t the operative word, it practically bowled Edward over. Tami had recoiled in horror, but Edward had slammed himself in front of Bella, a pained growl echoing across the room. His fingers pinched the bridge of his nose, as he doubled over almost in pain. The problem of this was, Edward saw what Tami was seeing, this caused him his own immense grief, but then to double things up he could feel the pain that Tami was feeling watching it. Mix those together and you have a pretty powerful concoction. Edward wasn’t only reliving Bella’s accident, but all the other turns that Tami was witnessing including both their own. Once the pained growl completed itself, Edward raised into his normal stature and slightly lessened his defensive stance in front of his love. “Tami, can you see her past? Because I can’t read her mind, Jane can’t harm her…” Edward didn’t expand on this statement of how he knew Jane couldn’t. Tami would have seen or now see it anyway.
